Immigration Appeal Division Introduces Administrative Changes to Appeal Process

Posted on Monday July 06, 2015

Beginning July 2, 2015 the Immigration Appeal Division is introducing three administrative changes to the IAD appeal process. Right now the IAD has over 11,000 appeals waiting to be resolved. This is resulting in excessive delays for parties who are waiting for their appeals to be resolved. To address this problem the IAD is introducing three administrative changes to its process which will enable it to focus more of its resources on those appeals that fall within its jurisdiction and where appellants intend to proceed. Read more about the new changes at the Immiration and Refugee Board of Canada website.
