Services are available to:

Read the guidebook on Employment Projections in Skilled Occupations released by Northumberland County in 2013. This guide provides employment projections on 47 skilled occupational groupings that represent 70 of over 300 skilled occupations according to the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Guide.



Labour Market Gateway

The Labour Market Gateway, developed by the Workforce Development Board (WDB) is an interactive component of the WDB website that provides users with local, current and relevant labour market information. Visit the webpage to access the current top 50 occupations in Northumberland County.

Cost for Services

  • Many public organizations provide services free or for a small fee.
  • Other private organizations may charge you for their services (for example, anywhere from $100 to $1000 CDN for a resume).
  • A resume that costs you money is not always better than the one you get for free. It's not a question of quality. It's a question of funding.
  • Most of the services listed here are non-profit agencies funded by the government.

Employment Ontario provides free employment services funded by the government. These services provide free workshops, resume and cover letter assistance, job postings as well as counseling services to help you to find work.
